DDCS Lawyers

This firm was recommended to me. Unfortunately I did not receive the service I had anticipated. Dealing initially with Phil Davey I assumed my matter would be dealt with quickly and without issue as it was straightforward. It dragged on for weeks. I was calling regularly for updates. Without advice to me my matter was given to another member of staff. Basically I cannot recommend this firm as I found them very unprofessional.

It's a shame I can't give a 0/5 rating for Teresa from DDCS. She performed very poorly for me. I had to wait about 2 months for our briefing, which I presumed meant that she was a good lawyer because she'd been well recommended. But I then had to chase up the results of her work many weeks after the briefing (and this was only a written summary of our discussions and the legal position of the matter, sent by a junior). I didn't get the legal result that I was seeking, which occasionally happens and with which I have no complaint. However, at the briefing I'd been given the very clear impression by Teresa that a positive result was likely. So she is either a C-grader, or talked up the result to help justify the high fee. I then asked Teresa for a partial refund to more properly reflect the quality of her service, and was told I'd hear back "in due course".

I recently faced an unexpected and unethical challenge when I was blindsided with a letter from another family lawyer regarding the division of relatively minor profits from a unit sale with an ex-partner. This situation left me feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Upon meeting James Drury at DDCS, my concerns were immediately alleviated. James exuded professionalism and calmness, taking the time to clearly explain the process and potential outcomes. His ability to simplify complex legal matters was incredibly reassuring. What stood out most was James' punctuality and responsiveness. He consistently answered my queries with a rapid turnaround, making me feel supported and informed every step of the way. I cannot recommend James Drury highly enough for anyone seeking a reliable, ethical, and highly capable lawyer. His expertise and client-focused approach turned a stressful situation into one that was efficiently and effectively resolved.

I would've preferred to be able to rate DDCS as 10 🌟. No wonder they have been voted as No. 1, 2 years running. The whole team is extremely professional & dedicated to your every need. Theresa Dowling was fantastic in her action for what I believed to be an urgent matter. She was immediately available on the phone when I called and, put her team immediately to work on this matter. Many thanks to Stacey Bell & Christopher Chenowith who, both stayed back for at least 2 hours on a Friday evening to make sure this matter was finalised on time.

Family law issues are always a horrible emotional issue to deal with, so it’s nice to have DDCS in your corner to clarify a pathway to a suitable resolution. Thanks Phil and team for guiding us through the unpleasantness and helping us to achieve a fairer result! Highly Recommend!!!!
