Simon Crawford (Partner) and Rebecca Young (Senior Associate) are really good and empathetic solicitors who are helping me to defend my court proceeding. I will certainly recommend HWL Ebsworth Lawyers to my friends who are looking for professional and empathetic solicitors to assist them with their court case(s). Five star review for HWL Ebsworth Lawyers!!!!
I'd rate my experience in line with the average review score. Alan Chiang handled a contract drafting and negotiation on a large renovation. I should have known I had the wrong solicitor when he said in our first meeting that he would ask the builder's solicitor for a number of items including some that he knew they would not agree to. Why then would he ask for those? Because it would involve time for both side's lawyers - ie more fees. Alan's entire approach was geared to generate fees, not to get the best outcome with minimum legal fees. There were also errors in their work late in the process.
worst company to deal with, no response from their conveyance/ Solicitor to Settel the land if buyer delay settelment than they charge intrest and issue default notice with fine.
Too bad there isn’t a ZERO star review option - 1 star is one too many! I had to deal with this “firm” as a third party and NOT BY ANY CHOICE OF MY OWN. A matter that should’ve taken a few weeks took over 7 months. They were happy to drag it out and then claim “additional time” on the final invoice, refusing to provide evidence of such upon request. Why anyone would engage their services is beyond me. Everyone from their receptionist to their senior partners are rude and obnoxious. I would run a mile before engaging them.
Avoid this Law firm please. We had a insurance claim for the lost of our home and contents due to storm. One of my clients recommended Polat to us but it was a absolute nightmare and waste of time and money for 16 months. Despite giving Polat a chance to pick up the pace he never seemed to care about our case nor did he had a legal expertise to help. Eventually we sacked them and engaged with Elite Lawyers by Mcgirr and Snell firm and just settled last week with a optimal outcome. They are lacking dedication to your case, specific knowledge, passionate and communication skills. They are only interested in their bank account.
